Many fitness influencers and bodybuilders secretly use steroids to achieve impressive results, misleading their followers by claiming their physiques are the result of workouts and diets alone. Experts estimate that around half of these influencers use performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), which pose health risks and can promote unrealistic body standards that lead to body dysmorphia and eating disorders among their audience. While steroids offer quick muscle gains, they can cause long-term health issues like cardiovascular problems and infertility. Influencers often hide their PED use to maintain their brand and follower count, perpetuating a harmful cycle.
